CTIS (Clinical Trials Information System)

CTIS is the European Medicines Agency's system through which sponsors apply to run a clinical trial and manage an ongoing trial across up to 30 EU and EEA countries, launched on 31 January 2022. It replaced EudraCT for new trials and publishes information on individual trials in the EU and EEA through a public search interface.

World Health Organization ICTRP is a WHO-operated search portal that aggregates clinical trial registration data from 18 primary registries across multiple countries and regions, including trials in all phases and across all therapeutic areas. The platform provides a unified search interface for finding trial information while linking to the original records maintained by contributing registries.

EudraCT

European Medicines Agency (EMA) EudraCT is the European Union's database for interventional clinical trials on medicinal products conducted in the EU/EEA from May 2004 through January 2025 under Directive 2001/20/EC. As of January 31, 2025, new EU/EEA trials must transition to the newer Clinical Trials Information System (CTIS), though EudraCT continues to accept results submissions and third-country trial files.
