Medicines Intelligence Data Platform
The Medicines Intelligence Data Platform is an anonymised linked data resource operated by the Medicines Intelligence Research Program at UNSW Sydney, containing routinely collected Commonwealth and New South Wales health data on Medicare-eligible adults residing in New South Wales, including medicines dispensing, medical services, hospital and emergency department records, cancer notifications and deaths. It is used for population-based studies of the use, safety, costs and cost-effectiveness of prescribed medicines, and access is arranged through the MedIntel team via project discussion, an expression of interest, ethics amendments and a secure research environment workspace with training.
